About BLQ Podcast

BLQ (blæk) Podcast is an extension of BLQ Medium, a multidisciplinary firm helping organizations transform mission into movement through consulting, communications, and media & production.

As the first platform within the BlackLoveQueer ecosystem, BLQ Podcast exists to amplify, archive, and celebrate Black Queer voices, stories, and lived experiences.

Launched in 2020 amid a national reckoning on race and justice, the podcast was created by Founder & CEO A.J. Lucky to address a critical gap in mainstream conversations: the absence of Black Queer perspectives. What began as a response to a historic moment has evolved into a platform for authentic dialogue, culture, creativity, and community connection.
