Experience That Elevate Community

Coming This Fall

Private Movie Screening w/ Michael Rice

The "Can’t Erase Us Screening Tour" is a vital initiative led by award-winning filmmaker, creative director, and LGBTQIA advocate Micheal Rice. This tour highlights two groundbreaking films—"BLACK AS U R" and "Party Boi"—offering organizations, centers, and universities the opportunity to choose which film best resonates with their populations.

"BLACK AS U R" delves into the intersectional experiences of Black queer individuals, capturing both the challenges and beauty of their lives. This film also explores the silence surrounding the struggles of Black trans women and LGBTQ homeless youth, emphasizing the urgent need for visibility and support. In light of the current political climate, where harmful bills are being passed affecting trans demographics and censorship threatens to erase our voices through book bans, this film serves as a powerful reminder of our shared humanity and enduring struggle for equality.

"Party Boi" explores the history of the gay ballroom community, addressing critical issues such as drug use, particularly crystal meth, and its impact on Black LGBTQ individuals. This documentary examines the social dynamics of drug use and its correlation with the rise of HIV infection rates among marginalized communities, making it a timely addition to our discussions around health and identity

Our fundraising efforts will open soon.
