BLQ (blæk) Podcast is an extension of BLQ Medium, a multidisciplinary firm helping organizations transform mission into movement through storytelling, strategy, culture, and community engagement. As the first platform within the BlackLoveQueer ecosystem, BLQ Podcast exists to amplify, archive, and celebrate Black Queer voices, stories, and lived experiences.

Launched in 2020 amid a national reckoning on race and justice, the podcast was created by Founder & CEO A.J. Lucky to address a critical gap in mainstream conversations: the absence of Black Queer perspectives. What began as a response to a historic moment has evolved into a platform for authentic dialogue, culture, creativity, and community connection.
